About District Records
Welcome to District Records. In our home you will find many diverse bands. Our belief is that there is no one style of music that is better than another. Our goal is to find musicians and bands who are ready to work at their art, those who will go the extra mile for their beliefs. If you're going to sit around and do nothing about your music, you might as well hang it up. "If you can make sound out of your instrument, then you are a musician. This is the way I believe that record labels work. They take your hard work, your blood, sweat and tears, your creativity, and then they sell it, and then they take half. But they do promote the crap out of you, and they get you into venues and on radio stations that you couldn't get yourself on. It is a hard road, and the glamour is not always there! After four years of living and loving Washington D.C., where many of our friends were recorded, District Records has now branched out into the West. We are now in Las Vegas, where we have set up housing, a full recording studio, and a video production service for bands that need that extra help but only have have minimum funds to make it happen. That's right -- we put you up, we feed you (Yeah, we have a chef), we record you, and we make a video for you! "Hey if you wanted to be rich you should have become a doctor or lawyer." -- Ridgeway
